In May, prom season was still the leading contributor of rental orders, but spring weddings were also well underway. So it makes sense that 6 of the 10 styles on May’s Top 10 chart were Grey Tuxedos, but the remaining 4 styles were all different color families.
Grey tuxedos and suits are popular for proms, but they are the predominant choice for daytime and warm weather weddings, including garden weddings and church weddings. Destination weddings typically call for tan tuxedos, which is reflected on the chart as well with the Tan ‘Allure Men’ Tuxedo in the #2 spot. Proms, on the other hand, are much more diverse occasions, so we typically see more color families represented on the top 10 list. And that seems to still be the case with the Midnight Blue ‘Maxwell’ Tuxedo, the Silver ‘Swagger’ Tuxedo, and the White ‘Waverly’ Tuxedo comprising the remainder of the chart.
As the weather continues to warm up in June, we will likely see more grey tuxedos and suits on the top ten charts, and some of the more novel tuxedos like the Silver ‘Swagger’ drop off.
