In October we saw all those fall trends we’ve been talking about for a few months now finally come to fruition. With those trends comes a much more diverse top ten list.
In recent months, grey tuxedos and suits have represented the flagship of the mens formal wear rental industry. In the warmer months, we saw them occupy as many as 8 of 10 positions on the top ten chart. But, while grey is definitely a very strong color family, there were only 3 of them listed on October’s top ten. This reflects our predictions that grey tuxedos and suits will rent well year round, but will also share the limelight in peak and seasonal periods. Sharing the top ten chart with grey tuxedos and suits is a healthy mix of black tuxedos, brown tuxedos, tan tuxedos and suits, and even a white tuxedo.
Our prediction for November is that grey will stay a strong renter, as well brown tuxedos. But the most growth that we’ll see will be in the classic black tuxedos and suits family. This, we predict, will be because of the many black tie galas and parties and formal events of the holiday party season, many of which require black tie attire.
